Asanoha (Japanese meaning: hemp leaf), geometric patterns. This pattern symbolizes prosperity and health.
Asanoha (麻の葉) is a classic and traditional Japanese geometric pattern depicting hemp leaves (asa = hemp, ha = leaf). The pattern has been one of the most recognizable designs in Japanese fabrics and art for over 1,200 years.
- Design: The pattern consists of a hexagonal grid (often based on a six-pointed star) that strongly resembles the leaves of the hemp plant.
