Background information Flora Japonica
The design of the Flora Japonica collection is inspired by plants that were native to Japan centuries ago.
This series features the fine-leaved maple, the heart-shaped katsura, white pines, and the ginkgo biloba.
The Flora Japonica collection connects Dutch and Japanese influences from the 16th and 17th centuries. The Dutch imported porcelain from Asia and developed Delftware. This history is reflected in this collection.
Tokyo Design Studio guarantees the excellent quality of these products. They are manufactured in both China and Japan, under the supervision of Tokyo Design Studio.
The products are baked twice, then they are decorated in one colour per piece, glazed and baked again.
